Joshua Lamberg – CEO and Founder
Joshua Lamberg, Principal at Lamb Financial Group

Prior to starting his successful career in the insurance industry, Josh was a professional baseball player with the Cincinnati Reds organization. The values and ethics that created his success as a professional athlete are the foundation of the values that everyone on the Lamb Team follows. Attitude, Effort and Preparation are elements of the success that we control. Hustle, hard work, and success are our best practices.

Prior to founding Lamb Financial Group Josh was a Senior Marketing Representative at Philadelphia Insurance Company and an Account Executive – National Sales at Liberty Mutual Insurance. He is a graduate of the University of Richmond.

Daniel Heller – Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer
Daniel Heller is the Chief Financial Officer at Lamb Financial Group

Daniel Heller comes to Lamb Financial Group with ten years of experience in Business Development and Finance. Prior to joining our organization Dan was Vice President of Acquisitions at Diamond Equity Partners, LLC. There he built the acquisitions group from the ground floor, and served as an integral part of operations for the portfolio, including marketing, finance, accounting, and business development duties. He was also involved in many Mergers and Acquisitions in a wide range of industries. Prior to his work at Diamond Equity Partners, LLC, Dan was an Associate in the Acquisitions Group at RAF Industries, Inc.

Dan received a Bachelor of Science in Finance, and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing at Lehigh University. He received an MBA from Columbia Business School, and graduated with Dean’s List Honors.

Gary J. Rakofsky – Director of Insurance Operations
Gary J. Rakofsky is the Director of Insurance Operations at Lamb Financial Group

Gary has over 40 years of carrier and brokerage Property & Casualty insurance experience and has an extensive background in all areas of the business. Gary is involved in all day to day insurance operations at our company, has ultimate responsibility for our Account Managers and coordinates the agency management system. Gary also is responsible for consultation, analysis, design and presentation of Property and Casualty programs for new clients, as well as consulting on coverage issues for claims. Prior to joining Lamb Financial Group Gary spent a good part of his career at Marsh where he attained the position of Vice President and Senior Client Advisor. Gary studied Communications at Queens College, and also holds an Associate Degree in Information Technology from AICPCU.

Jeanne Oronzio Wermuth – Director of Client Services

Jeanne came to Lamb Financial Group in 2015 with 20 years of experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance Industry. Prior to joining us, Jeanne spent 12 years at a large Philadelphia insurance brokerage & consulting firm where she was a member of the Health & Human Services Team and leader of the Management Liability Practice Group. Her experience includes insurance coverage analysis, captives, reinsurance, training and education – both in the insurance industry and as an adjunct professor of insurance at Temple University. Jeanne directly manages our Account Management team and is an additional resource to our clients for coverage and service-related questions. Jeanne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management and Insurance from Temple University, an MBA from Drexel University as well as several insurance-related designations.

Alexander G. Yeres – Marketing Manager and General Counsel

Alex Yeres joined Lamb Financial Group in 2014 as our Marketing Manager and General Counsel. Prior to joining the Lamb team, Alex practiced law for 7 years, concentrating in commercial real estate transactions and general corporate law. Most recently, he was a Associate with a leading New York City real estate law firm where he represented clients in all aspects of conveyancing, leasing, as well as sophisticated real estate financing transactions.

Alex earned his BA from Syracuse University and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Pace University School of Law.

Corey Heller – President of Employee Benefits
Corey Heller is President of Group Benefits and Life Insurance

Corey heads up our Group Benefits and Life Insurance Department. He brings to our clients his broad knowledge of group benefits and life insurance, as well as relationships with multiple carrier partners across the country. Aiming to anticipate needs as opposed to responding to them, Corey prides himself on the exceptional service that the Lamb Benefits Team provides to their clients and clients’ employees. Before joining Lamb Financial Group, Corey was a life insurance and group benefit broker for AXA Advisors. He is a graduate of Lehigh University with a degree in Finance.

Katherine Wakemen – Director of Client Services: Employee Benefits

Kathy has 30 years of experience in the Health and Welfare Insurance industry in a wide range of areas in the business. Kathy is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Benefits Service Team, ensuring that protocols are adhered to in every aspect. Kathy has been an integral part of assisting in designing the systems and structure for the benefits administration currently in place. Prior to joining the Lamb Team, Kathy had experience in both the carrier and agency environments for insurance.

Myron Kundla – Director of Claims & Risk Management

Myron comes to Lamb Financial Group with over 30 years of carrier & brokerage, Property & Casualty and Claims & Risk Management experience. The main focus and responsibility is dedicated to Claim Advocacy & Risk Management Service. Prior to joining Lamb, Myron was with Gallagher Bollinger as Vice President of Premier Services and also helped to found the Risk Management practice at the firm. He served as Chief Claims Officer while at MLW Services/Barkly Coverage which is a Brokerage/Program Manager.

Additionally, Myron was Regional Claim Manager at Great American Insurance for the tri-state area of NY, NJ & Southern CT for all lines of business, as well as the Litigation Unit Supervisor while at Hanover Insurance Company.

He is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a degree in Sociology & History. Myron is licensed for Property & Casualty, and also possesses an Associate in Claims Designation.

Dorene Nicoll – Controller

Dorene joined Lamb Financial Group in December 2012, bringing with her over 25 years of accounting experience. Dorene is responsible for Lamb’s day to day monetary flow and book of business. Prior to joining Lamb, Dorene worked in the construction industry performing various aspects of managerial accounting. Dorene holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Economics with a concentration in Managerial Accounting from SUNY Empire State College.

Steve Phillabaum – Director of Client Acquisition
Steve Phillabaum, Director of Client Acquisition

Steve joined Lamb in January, 2016 as our Director of Client Acquisition. In this role, Steve is responsible for leading our relentless drive to design and implement comprehensive, cost-effective programs and risk management strategies for our new clients.

Prior to joining Lamb, Steve served 5 years in the US Navy leading engineering, operations and anti-terrorism teams during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was responsible for immediate conflict engagement and point defense of strategic infrastructure in the Northern Arabian Gulf. Steve also spent several years working for Datalogic Industrial Automation, a world leader in the material handling industry. He advanced through technical and managerial positions to include finance, engineering, new product development, and project management.

He is a published author on key risk management issues and serves on the board of several community and veteran organizations. Steve is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy where he played NCAA Division I Water Polo and received his MBA from Saint Joseph’s University’s Erivan K. Haub School of Business.
